Girlfriends, Sister, Sister, and a Slew of Classic Black Sitcoms Are Coming to Netflix
Netflix's Jasmyn Lawson, who spearheads the Strong Black Lead platform, also joined in on the Twitter celebration once the news was announced. In the midst of ecstatic retweets and celebratory GIFs, Lawson shared that bringing this selection of renowned Black sitcoms to Netflix was months in the making.
"SERIOUSLY THE BEST WORK OF MY LIFE! We've been working through the logistics to bring these shows to the platform for a very long time. And we've been working on the launch plan for months,"The upcoming Netflix additions will arrive to the streaming platform gradually over the next few months. Check out the dates below.
