A three-year-old girl was rescued by police officers from a lake in Thatto Heath, Merseyside (inset) and taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital for treatment on Saturday afternoon.
Youngster reported missing from Merseyside home at 2.11pm on Saturday. Officers then rescued the girl from the lake at Thatto Heath at 2.22pm. Did YOU see what happened? Paramedics and an air ambulance arrived at the scene following her rescue and she has been taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. A full statement from Merseyside Police released shortly after the incident said: 'Police officers have rescued a three-year-old child who had fallen in to a lake in Thatto Heath this afternoon.
