Ginger supplement significantly shortened the length of stay of hospitalized individuals with COVID-19, finds a study published in Nutrition & Metabolism.
Taken together, ginger presents the potential as an alternative therapeutic agent to treat COVID-19. Therefore, we conducted a clinical trial to examine the effect of the ginger supplement on the clinical manifestations of individuals with COVID-19.The study protocol was approved by the institutional review boards of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, and the trial was registered on the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry . All participants provided written informed consent.
