Coach Brian Daboll updated the status of his injured players Wednesday ahead of the team's practice in East Rutherford.
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones watches his teammates during pregame warmups as the Giants prepared to play the Washington Commanders last Sunday at MetLife Stadium..remained a limited participant as he continues his quest to return from a neck injury that has kept him out of the team’s last two games.
“When he’s feeling better and when the doctors tell me he is cleared, then he is cleared,” Daboll said. It remains to be seen if Thomas will be able to participate in the team portion of practice ahead of Sunday’s game against the Jets. If he does not, it is unlikely he will make his return. Reserve running back Gary Brightwell was ruled out of practice with an ankle injury and defensive tackle Leonard Williams was given the day off with what Daboll describes as a “vet day.”
