A Saturday morning accident involving two cars in Geylang resulted in one driver taken to the hospital and the other arrested for suspected drink driving.shared videos of a damaged blue Mitsubishi Lancer and an even more damaged black BMW X1 after the collision. In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at 6.20am to the accident along Sims Avenue towards Sims Avenue East after Lorong 17 Geylang. A 62-year-old male driver was conscious when taken to the hospital. A 30-year-old male driver was subsequently arrested for suspected drink driving.after an accident at Bukit Timah Road at 3am.
For drink driving, a first-time offender can be fined up to $10,000 and jailed for up to a year. A repeat offender can be fined up to $20,000 and jailed for up to two years.
