The Dior Spring/Summer 2020 show during Paris Fashion Week illustrated this bond by framing the dirt runway with different types of trees.
“This one looks familiar. Is this an oak tree,” she questioned. “This is where it all started. If this was gone we don’t have anything. We exchange gases, you know, oxygen.” She also shared an anecdote about a mimosa tree that was at the show and how her mother used to dot her hair with flowers produced from this tree. The video is brief but, through Natalia’s comments and the Dior show, it sheds light on the importance of the relationship between trees and us.
