Ahead of the Christmas season, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh will be launching its yearly Christmas at the Botanics light trail this November for people of all ages.
With Halloween well behind us and the middle of November in sight, the Christmas season is truly beginning.
If noisy crowds and busy markets aren't so much your thing, there are also plenty of quieter and more laid-back events you can head to solo or with friends and family. One of these is the Christmas at the Botanics light trail at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh website states: "Discover huge seed heads floating high into the sky, a lawn of larger-than-life crocus glowing in the dark, brightly coloured pampas, sparkling tunnels of light and the Inverleith House projections with a botanical theme filled with all the colours of the rainbow, just some of the new displays to see this year."
When is Christmas at the Botanics? Christmas at the Botanics will run on select evenings from November 16 until December 30.
