Gerard Depardieu has denied allegations of rape and sexual assault made against him by several women
She has now waived her anonymity, revealing her identity as Charlotte Arnould, having previously told French media her life had been ‘hell’ after the alleged attacks. Also in his letter, Depardieu said that ‘hurting a woman would be like kicking my own mother’s tummy.’ He is one of the country’s most prolific actors, with other big roles in Hollywood hits including Green Card and The Man In The Iron Mask.Gerard Depardieu was placed under formal investigation in December 2020 following allegations of rape and sexual assault on two occasions at his home in Paris in 2018.Arnould’s initial lawsuit was dropped in 2019 due to a lack of evidence but was reopened a year later.
