George Gilbey's friends have reportedly come together to pay tribute to the Gogglebox star following his tragic death, which was confirmed on Wednesday evening
Gogglebox's George Gilbey's pals have come together to pay a moving tribute after his untimely passing. The Gogglebox and Celebrity Big Brother star sadly lost his life in an alleged workplace mishap at the age of 40.
"The ambulance service including air ambulance were in attendance. Sadly, the man died at the scene. We will continue liaising with partners including the Heath and Safety Executive. A cordon remains in place at the scene."Many have been expressing their sadness for George, who was part of the Channel 4 show with his mum Linda and stepdad Pete. After hearing the heartbreaking news, it's reported that George's friends gathered in a pub in Clacton-on-Sea to remember him.
Gogglebox remembered George on social media on Wednesday night, saying: "George was part of the Gogglebox family for eight series alongside his mum Linda and step-dad Pete. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Linda, and George's family and friends at this very sad time. The family have asked for privacy."
In the photo, he was wearing a black hoodie and looked like he had been working out. George was well-known for being on the Gogglebox sofa with his mum and step-dad where they became loved by the people watching when they joined in its second series in 2013. The family from Essex had to leave the show in 2014 because George went into the Celebrity Big Brother house, and he did really well, getting to the final.
