Global airlines are seeking tens of billions dollars in state bail-outs to absorb the shock from the coronavirus crisis, as they ground almost entire fleets and place thousands of workers on unpaid leave to stay afloat. "What we don't know about the magnitude and duration of this pandemic still outweighs what we do know," GE's Culp said in a letter to employees on Monday, adding that he would forgo his salary for the rest of 2020.
