I use an app called Gas Buddy, and it has helped me save a significant amount of money over the last few years.After you download the app, you enter your location or give the app permission to use your phone’s location services. You’ll be shown a spread at the top of the pricing screen with the lowest and highest prices in your area.
You can enter the new price even if you don’t have a Gas Buddy account. If you do set up an account, you’ll be able to store preferences like your favorite stations.What I like to do is touch the button on the top right of the screen to bring up a map of the area.I’m a member of Sam’s Club, and its gas prices are usually among the cheapest, but it doesn’t show up on my list, only the map. I suppose that’s because you need to be a member to buy gas there.
