Gardeners' World star Monty Don has made the surprising admission TV gardening shows are a bit of a con.
Speaking on Radion 5 Live the horticultural presenter revealed what is really wrong with the format of gardening programmes as he admitted that the limited time in television doesn't result in good gardening He hinted at his departure during a Radio Times Magazine interview, saying: 'The logical thing to do is give up Gardeners' World.'
During the discussion, he also opened up about his mental health, confessing: 'I have, for many years, suffered from depression, which comes and goes but tends to be something that is worse in the winter.'
