The 25-mile stretch between exits 38 and 63 were back open by 9:50 a.m., but speed restrictions remain due to smoke conditions.
Friday due to fog and smoky conditions from the Bass River State Forest wildfire was fully re-opened at about 9:50 a.m, officials said.
While the toll road is again open, the speed limit between mileposts 48 and 52 is reduced to 50 mph due to smoky conditions from the fire, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority said. Earlier, southbound traffic was diverted off at exit 63 , while northbound vehicles were diverted at exit 38 .
