Furious Lee Bullen slammed his side for "schoolboy defending" after they blew the chance for a rare win on Somerset soil.
He said: "I will stand here and defend my players to the hilt but there is no defending that last goal. Ayr had made two changes from the side which drew at Partick on Tuesday with Anton Dowds returning to lead the line in place of Mark McKenzie and Robbie Mutch replacing the injured Charlie Albinson between the sticks.
