A free wellbeing festival and hockey tournament is coming to Kirkham.
Organised by local Rebecca Worthington, the event will take place on Sunday 3 September at Fylde Hockey Club.Rebecca’s TEAMReb community group educates people on the importance of looking after mental health and also provides information on where to seek support.Rebecca said: “I’ve struggled with my mental health for over 15 years and hockey has been my escape.
“I am hoping the festival will educate and inspire others to prioritise mental health and to use sport, like I do, as a way to look after themselves.”The festival will feature a range of activities alongside the hockey tournament. “The festival is free to attend,” said Rebecca. “With that people can access talks from some inspiring guest speakers specialising in mental wellbeing, learn about breath work and meditation, watch some hockey and even give it a try in our skills zone.”
