‘Frasier’ aired on NBC from 1993 to 2004 and starred Kelsey Grammer as the titular character — everything to know about the reboot
CBS Studios IncPer the show’s official synopsis, “the new series follows Frasier Crane in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. Frasier has re-entered the building!”Entertainment Tonight
in February 2023 that the reboot will honor Mahoney by revisiting the father-son dynamic — this time through Frasier and his own son, Freddy. "He's going back to Boston because his son lives there," the Dr. Death alum explained."There's a nod to certainly my father in the show, John Mahoney, there. You'll see things about John all through the show. I think people will be very happy to see that he's honored in the way he is in the show.”
The first episode will be called “The Good Father,” which is a callback to the OG pilot, titled “The Good Son,” which saw Frasier taking his father in as a roommate after relocating to Seattle., who portrayed Frasier’s ex-wife, Lilith, in the OG series is set to reprise her role for the reboot as a guest star.
“When they reunite at Freddy’s birthday party, Lilith, in classic form, is far from pleased about having to share Freddy now that Frasier is back living in Boston,” the official statement read. “What begins as a fun party with friends and family, inevitably becomes a Lilith-and-Frasier showdown for the ages!"
