Robert Allen, one of Texas’ top economic development leaders, is leaving his statewide role to help bring new companies and jobs to Fort Worth.
The incoming head of economic development Robert Allen says the city must be “nimble and proactive” in its growth.
Allen has led economic development across the state since 2017 and previously served as Gov. Greg Abbott’s deputy chief of staff. Robert Allen is leaving his role as president and CEO of the Texas Economic Development Corp. to lead the new Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership. “There is no one in Texas that has a better perspective, better relationships, and proven results than Robert Allen,” Navejar said. “It was imperative that we hire the best and the brightest in our state to lead this effort for Fort Worth.”
