that it has signed its third former New England Patriot to join its Sunday studio show broadcasts, as star wideout and Super Bowl LIII MVP Julian Edelman is replacing current Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton on the show.Edelman has previously been a commentator on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” program after retiring in 2021.
Edelman finished his storied 12-year career winning three Super Bowls with New England, compiling 6822 receiving yards and 77 touchdowns, and is third in NFL history in postseason receiving yards. “When you have great franchises for so long and some of those guys’ careers have ended, it makes sense for them to be on TV,” Zager said. “If I was guessing, I would say you’d probably see something similar five years or more down the line with the Chiefs and some of their players. People become so familiar with them.”
