He was released on bail of £400 and ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim
Jeff Anderson, 33, from Crawfordsburn Rd, Newtownards, appeared at Ards Magistrate’s Court on March 27.
Police charged Mr Anderson with “grievous bodily harm under Section 20 of the Offences Against The Person Act 1861 that on the December 29, 2023, he unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm upon” a man.District Judge Mark Hamill, said: “I presume this will go to Crown Court.” Mr Anderson’s legal representatives confirmed the position and he was released on bail and excused from personally attending Magistrate’s Court in May.
