I essentially had to beg the headteacher to let me go.Colin posted an image of the letter he sent to the school’s headteacher online in which he said due to St Mirren achieving the “unimaginable”, he was looking to have one week of unpaid leave off.
The primary teacher’s class also got involved in his travel preparation as they created an itinerary to ensure everything was in order.
