Former Ohio State forward E.J. Liddell was dealt from the New Orleans Pelicans to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
The former Ohio State forward was dealt from the New Orleans Pelicans alongside Larry Nance Jr., Dyson Daniels and two draft picks for star Hawks guard Dejounte Murray on Friday.Liddell's career has struggled to get off the ground since the Pelicans selected him with the 41st overall pick in the second round of the 2022 NBA draft.
There was some success for Liddell in the G League, however, as he averaged 17.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 26 games with the Birmingham Squadron. Alongside Liddell, Nance and Daniels, the Pelicans sent Atlanta a 2025 first-round pick acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers and a 2027 first-round pick which will be the lower choice between New Orleans and the Milwaukee Bucks.
