Brian Johnson, former Baytown high school star and UH assistant, named Eagles offensive coordinator
The Johnson-Hurts connection goes way back. Jalen Hurts' father Averion Hurts was an assistant coach at Baytown Lee when Johnson played there. Johnson later recruited Jalen Hurts before the quarterback signed with Alabama.
Johnson replaces Shane Steichen, who parlayed the Eagles trip to the Super Bowl into a head coaching job with the Colts.
