Graham Roberts knows all about tradition at Rangers having played there under Graeme Souness
Former Ibrox defender Graham Roberts believes Steven Davis' understanding of Rangers' traditions make him a unique asset to the club.
Roberts - who spent two years at the club back in the Eighties - believes Davis' longstanding association with the club is an important factor. "He has spent so many years at Ibrox over the two spells and he knows the club's DNA. And I am sure the new manager knows that about Steven. "It is such a great club. The one thing I don't understand is how they got rid of the tradition of wearing the collar and club tie," he said.
"It was a shame, because everyone knew what their job was. You had to act in the right way, and it is a shame that happened.
