launch in Tiskilwa, Illinois, U.S., on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020. Apple Inc.'s MacBook lineup is getting a big jolt, with the introduction of laptops with company's own microchips, technology that is supposed to give the devices faster performance, better battery life and, maybe, bigger profits.
Unfortunately, Apple has a black sheep in the MacBook portfolio - the 13-inch macBook Pro. You might think it’s a nice little jump up from the Air to the 13-inch instead of moving up all the way to the larger MacBook Pro, but the arguments to do that is incredibly weak. At the time, debuting an Air and a Pro offered continuity during the first critical step from Intel-based to ARM-based Macs. The design remained the same, the price, and the broad specifications outside of the processor. Apple made sure to minimise any change apart from the processor.
That foundation can now be built upon, and the recent macBook pro update has changed the design, the price, and the broad specs as well as the processors. The principle of the MacBook Pro remains the same - the hokey idea of this MacBook Pro being “the most Pro Pro MacBook ever” does hold true. But it does come at a cost.
