A number of police vehicles were seen at the scene

Nottinghamshire Police have issued an update after a number of police vehicles were seen in Sneinton. A heavy police presence has been reported on Sneinton Boulevard on Wednesday, January 11, including the Crime Scene Investigation van and the Tactical Support Group.

It has been reported that a "serious assault" took place at an address on the road over the weekend on Saturday, January 7. A police spokesperson has said: “Officers are investigating reports of a serious assault at an address in Sneinton Boulevard on the evening of Saturday 7 January. "It is believed that two people – a man and a woman – were assaulted. Officers would like to speak to anybody who heard or saw anything suspicious in and around this area at around 11pm on Saturday evening.

"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 156 of 9 January 2022." Alternatively Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously at 0800 555 111.
