One teacher was killed and two others were wounded in the attack in northern France
The UK Foreign Office has issued a warning to British travellers in France after a teacher was killed and two others were wounded in a stabbing at a high school in northern France. A man armed with a knife has been arrested by the police and the attack is being investigated as potential terrorism.

It said: “An individual was fatally stabbed and a number of people injured on Friday 13 October, at the Lycée Gambetta in Arras, northern France.
Mr Hamzi said he was alerted by another officer who was passing in front of the high school and called in. He “was shouting: ‘Someone is attacking with a knife,'” Mr Hamzi said. Julie Duhamel, an official with the the Unsa teachers’ union in the Pas-de-Calais region that includes Arras, told franceinfo that teachers had noted the suspect’s radicalisation “a few years ago”.
