The Diamonds are aiming for back-to-back promotions as the play-offs fast approach
Airdrie player/assistant boss Callum Fordyce says their dominant display against champions Dundee United last week should give the Diamonds confidence they can follow the Terrors up to the Premiership.
The Diamonds are pushing for back-to-back promotions and enter the play-offs next week when they face Partick Thistle over two legs in the quarter-finals, starting on Tuesday at New Broomfield with the second leg at Firhill on May 10.He said: “I thought the boys were excellent on Friday night and we were well on top. Dundee United needed that point to win the league and they got it, so congratulations to them.
“We know what we are capable of and the team should be bursting with confidence and ready to go for the play-offs.” The winners of the quarter-final will face Raith Rovers over two legs on May 14 and 17 in the semi-finals, while the final will also be a two-legged affair on May 23 and 26 against the side finishing 11th in the Premiership .
