As World Series comes to Arlington credit sometimes still amiss
Texas Rangers players take batting practice during a workout at Globe Life Field in preparation for Game 1 of the World Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday, Oct. 26, in Arlington.
This summer, when Arlington was selected to host the 2026 World Cup, large media outlets like The New York Times, NPR and CNN“They always say Dallas instead of Arlington, and when they say it on TV, nobody gives Arlington credit,” said Rickey French, who moved to Arlington in 1986.However, some residents, like Kerry Gonzalez, pointed out that people have gotten better even though “Dallas” is still used a lot.
