The Raiders star has people worried.
“We hope he is fine. Whatever he is going through, we want to send our best and we hope he gets whatever he needs to get through it. And I do wish this would have been handled more privately,” Irvin said.
“He obviously says there is nothing wrong with him. That’s what he’s saying. He wants to know why he’s not playing. All I can say is I am worried about him. And I wish him the best. ... They could use him on the football field. Let’s be real about that.”Jones showed a picture on his Instagram account he said was the badge of the person at his door.
This is the second time this week Jones took to Instagram to show his discontent. He also criticized McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler on Tuesday, saying he was locked out of the team facility. Jones also deleted that post.“It certainly is something deeper than football,” Johnson said.
The 33-year-old Jones is starting his second season of his three-year, $51 million contract with the Raiders. He is a four-time Pro Bowler and won Super Bowl XLIX with the Patriots.
