Recipients usually see their SNAP benefits reloaded on the same day each month, with the date depending on a recipient's Social Security number, last name, case number, or account number. The range of dates varies by state.Four states — Arkansas, Maryland, Minnesota, and Mississippi — begin sending out their SNAP benefit payments on Tuesday and continue until the middle of July. Here is the breakdown of dates, maximum payments, and how much of the population receives food stamps.
In the Natural State, the maximum payment for a household of three is $535 and the maximum payment for a household of 10 is $1,530.The average payment per household member per month is $180. Approximately 13% of the population, or 772,700 people, receive food stamps. The Free State sends out a maximum payment of $740 for a household of three and a maximum payment of $1,691 for a household of eight. For each additional member, the program allocates a maximum of $211.The average payment per household member per month is $157. Approximately 8% of the population, or 435,900 people, receive food stamps in Minnesota.

SNAP benefit recipients across all 50 states and the District of Columbia will see the amount transferred to a prepaid electronic benefit transfer card. The EBT card works similarly to a debit card and can be used at grocery stores and farmers' markets or at some online retailers. The money is intended for purchasing healthy foods.
