Susan Mary Strahsmeier, 42, of Gulfport, was charged with possession of a weapon on school property and child abuse after the student was left with injuries to the back of the head, police said.
The mom allegedly attacked a child on Monday while getting involved in a dispute her daughters were having at Azalea Middle School,'s children were in a"physical fight with multiple students" when she"involved herself in the physical fight by striking the victim numerous times in the back of the head from behind while holding a purple taser." The victim suffered minor head injuries, officials noted.

It remains unclear what sparked the confrontation between the students at the Florida campus.A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office media officer shared a police report with, which confirmed two children had been involved in"physical altercations after school" and alleged Strahsmeier turned up at the scene armed with a tire iron.
"The defendant was observed holding a tire iron and walking towards students while threatening to strike [them]," the arrest report elaborated."The defendant was also striking objects with the tire iron while threatening students, putting them in fear." It alleged the suspect was caught on video using the stun gun as"a clubbing object while punching a juvenile."
St. Petersburg Police say Susan Strahsmeier, 42, struck an Azalea Middle student in the head with a taser, who was fighting with her daughters on campus.
