The woman has been locally named as Jodie Green
Emergency services were called to Chapel Street, Southport just after 9.15am on Sunday following concerns for a woman who appeared to be unconscious on a bench. A large cordon was in place around the entrance to Southport train station.
Following the tragic news, the woman has now been named locally as Jodie Green. Tributes were also left near the station, including flowers, cards, a stuffed toy and a crystal.
