There have been several flood alerts and warnings issued across Scotland by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
Parts of Scotland have been issued flood warnings by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency as coastal areas are likely to be impacted.
There are been 28 flood warnings in place and 12 flood alerts covering areas such as Edinburgh, Orkney, Aberdeenshire and Dumfries and Galloway. STV meteorologist Sean Batty confirmed that the potential floods have arisen due to a new moon that has made the tides higher than normal.
