The closure of the Route 75 bridge in Port Royal requires drivers to use a detour to get to the racetrack July 1 and 3, 2023.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation

said flaggers will be assisting with traffic flow to help fans attending the July 1 and July 3 races at the speedway in Juniata County because the railroad bridge on Route 75 is closed. “PennDOT anticipates increased traffic at the intersection of Routes 35 and 333 on race days due to the ongoing bridge replacement project along Route 75 in Port Royal Borough, and flagging will help alleviate some of the congestion.”Gates open at 4 p.m. July 1 and 3. Races start at 7:30 p.m. General admission is $30. Admission for students is $20 and pits is $40.

The July 1 event will honor the late race car driver, Greg Hodnett. Hodnett died in 2018 in a crash at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven.There also are ongoing construction projects in the area including Old Route 22 , which is closed in the
