5 new nature reserves are planned at green spaces across Nottinghamshire
Five new nature reserves will be created on existing green spaces across Nottinghamshire. There are currently 67 Local Nature Reserves across the county, six of which are owned by Nottinghamshire Council, but this year the council plans to create an additional five nature reserves.
The council is currently working on the first steps of the designation process, which includes preparing detailed management plans for the sites that will be submitted to Natural England.
