William Murray McCubbin, 60, died after a fishing boat capsized while being towed from the shore at Port William Harbour in Dumfries and Galloway. The vessel reportedly began listing and sank into the sea at around 4.30pm on November 19, 2022.Police have now confirmed a 48-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

The fishing boat was on the shore at the rocks at the mouth of Port William Harbour.
