Harleigh Hepworth was knifed in West Park in Wolverhampton at around 4.30pm on Thursday. Officers and paramedics tried to help but he died a short time later. A police spokesman: ‘We’re following a number of lines of enquiry to catch who was responsible for his tragic death.

‘We continue to work tirelessly with partners to steer young people away from violence with weapons. ‘Anyone with information which can assist our enquiries is asked to get in touch. ‘We have also activated our Major Incident Public Portal, where you can submit any photos or video, which may assist our detectives.’ This is a developing news story, more to follow soon… Check back shortly for further updates.
