star Coon plays another investigative reporter, McLaughlin's colleague Jean Cole.
"As the mysterious killer claims more and more victims, Loretta attempts to continue her investigation alongside colleague and confidante Jean Cole, yet the duo finds themselves stymied by the rampant sexism of the era," the movie's synopsis reads."Nevertheless, McLaughlin and Cole bravely pursue the story at great personal risk, putting their own lives on the line in their quest to uncover the truth.
Ahead of the movie's debut this March, ABC Audio will release a three-part true-crime companion podcast hosted by formerreporter Dick Lehr, who knew McLaughlin in real life and who also reported on the Boston Strangler case.
