Unite the Union confirmed that bus drivers have rejected a pay offer from First Glasgow, with more than 1000 drivers now set to be balloted for industrial action.

More than 1000 First Glasgow drivers are to be balloted for industrial action amid an ongoing pay dispute.

The ballot will open today and close on November 7. If the ballot is successful, then Unite has said industrial action is likely to start during November. The drivers are based in the following bus depots: Blantyre, Caledonia, Dumbarton, Overtown and Scotstoun. There is also a similar dispute brewing involving around 150 Unite engineers at both companies.
