Several locals were left “petrified” as fireworks were thrown or launched at them from a car on Halloween night.
Inspector Dan Jones said: “Over the course of last night, only five calls were received relating to anti-social behaviour and Halloween concerns across Watford, four of which related to this isolated fireworks incident.“We enhanced our patrols throughout the night, and our officers spoke with a number of residents to ensure a safe and enjoyable time was had by everyone.”
They were reportedly thrown from two cars driving around in the Station Road area, fired from a car window in Ovaltine Drive, and nearly hit a woman in Vicarage Lane.
