Greg Wilson, from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, climbed Mount Snowdon, also known as Yr Wyddfa, nine times in 48 hours.
A firefighter has set a new world endurance record on Wales's tallest mountain. Greg Wilson completed the most ascents of Mount Snowdon, also known as Yr Wyddfa, in 48 hours. He climbed the mountain nine times in that period and was carrying 40lb of weight on his back. Mr Wilson is from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. He also set a new record by completing six ascents in the first 24 hours.
Mr Wilson is also a former Royal Marine Commando and has so far raised over £3,000 to be shared between The Fire Fighters Charity and The Royal Marines Charity. He said the challenge was 'immense', but he wanted to 'inspire daughter'.
