A suspect has been arrested in the 2021 slaying of a man found shot in a vehicle in Pleasant Grove.
Police found fingerprints on the inside of the passenger door that were a match for Weeden’s, the affidavit says.The affidavit says investigators learned Weeden’s residence was listed as a home in Forney, and that a woman living there — later determined to be his wife — had a gray 2015 Chrysler 200. Using GPS data from the vehicle they found that the night before Bastidas was found dead, the Chrysler was less than a mile from that location.
About 10 minutes later, a dark-colored sedan pulled up to Bastidas’ vehicle, and a “heavy-set individual” got out and went to the passenger side of the Nissan before leaving, the affidavit says.
