Fern Britton is reportedly planning an epic 'TV comeback' after her successful stint on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, with the presenter now said to be in talks for her own show
15 years after stepping down from This Morning, Fern Britton returned to screens better than ever with a stint on Celebrity Big Brother this year, placing in fifth on the reality show.
Fern was the permanent host of This Morning from 1999 to 2009, before she quit the ITV show in 2009. Holly Willoughby, 42, then took over her role and teamed up with Phillip Schofield, 61, who had been presenting alongside Fern since 2002. Last year, Phillip left the show and admitted to having an 'unwise but not illegal' affair with one of the show's runners.
When Fern quit, it was revealed she was only halfway through her £1.5million contract with the show - which was reportedly £200,000 less than Phil's. Despite this alleged pay difference, Fern denied the salary speculation and instead said that an on-set incident was what caused her to resign.
