The Duchess of York, 64, took a turn on Loose Women to help launch its Don't Skip Your Screening breast cancer campaign after undergoing treatment herself earlier this year
The Duchess of York made her debut appearance on Loose Women, where she urged women not to miss their mammogram screenings.
The Duchess underwent an eight-hour single mastectomy operation and reconstruction earlier this year. During her visit, the Duchess, dressed in a long, pink leather-style coat, was given her own personalised Loose Women mug.Sarah replied with a joke: "I am very pleased. I quite enjoy being a Loose Woman".
"You know that moment when you suddenly wake up and go 'I'm sure I've got cancer somewhere else'? I'm getting over that but it's only been a few months this year since I had the operation," she confessed. Dame Cally Palmer, the national cancer director for NHS England, said: "Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer and risk of the disease increases with age, but it also has one of the highest survival rates, thanks to advances in NHS screening and treatment."
