Currently, 1 in 8 Alaskans struggled with hunger and 53% of Alaskans seeking food assistance must decide between groceries or rent. Channel 2 and CBS 5 are trying to bring those numbers down. Our stations have partnered with the Food Bank of Alaska for the Feed AK initiative, a spring food drive that hopes to ease hunger across the state.

Food Bank of Alaska Chief of Philanthropy Jenny Di Grappa spoke about the initiative during an interview on Tuesday evening. "Feed AK is a great opportunity for Alaskans across the state to get involved in fighting hunger for our communities, for our families in need," Di Grappa said. To contribute to the drive, drop off donations at 2192 Viking Drive in Anchorage or visit the 'Feed AK' tab on this website.
