Leslie Finch, 72, was on holiday with his wife Martha when he died
An inquest heard the wife of an experienced snorkeler who died while on holiday suspects Egyptian authorities embalmed him before carrying out a post mortem.
When Martha found Les she thought he was diving deeper, but was horrified to find him unresponsive. Despite CPR efforts, the 72-year-old was pronounced dead.READ MORE: He went out to buy a present for his mum but ended up in prison instead Kate Bisset, the Area Coroner, recounted: "This gentleman was on holiday with his wife Martha in Sharm El-Sheikh to celebrate a friend's 61st birthday. On February 27 they spent the day snorkelling on the beach. They were both experienced snorkelers themselves. The depth was eight feet.", reports Lancs Live.
"CPR was commenced but sadly he passed away. The cause of death was asphyxiation. His wife is not clear that any post mortem ever took place. He was embalmed before his body was returned."
