A faulty fire alarm was reported in the new £18.5million joint headquarters for the police and fire service in Nottinghamshire. Advice was given to staff after the fire alarm panels in one of the buildings at Sherwood Lodge malfunctioned on Monday .
The alarm was fixed shortly after 10.30am on Tuesday. Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, which already shared some resources and buildings, agreed to move to a shared headquarters back in 2018. Work on the three-storey building began in summer 2020. The £18.5m joint headquarters opened in January last year.
