A father who lost his daughter to a fentanyl overdose is warning the drug crisis should be treated as a 'national security threat' amid a migrant influx at the southern border
TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Border Patrol agents working the Interstate 19 Immigration Checkpoint near Amado, Arizona, seized over 50 pounds of suspected fentanyl and arrested the driver of the vehicle on Oct. 13, 2021.
"We need the media's help with this, and one way we can help is to stop using the term overdose," Capelouto said. "Americans are being poisoned. My daughter received and took half of one pill which killed her. Overdoses is when you take too much of something… She was poisoned, and this is how many of our young people are dying."over 90 pounds of fentanyl, enough to kill more than 10 million people, in one week as the crisis continues.
