Shaun Pinner, 48, a British Army veteran from Watford, looked distraught in the caged dock as the death sentence was read out. Aiden Aslin, 28, from Nottinghamshire, had begged for forgiveness.
Brits Shaun Pinner, 48, and Aiden Aslin, 28, were captured in Ukraine in April during the siege of Mariupol. The so-called supreme court of the Donetsk People's Republic issued the death sentences on Thursday. Devastated family of Aiden Aslin have urged the UK and Ukraine Governments to help bring them home safely.
