Councillors praised communities for welcoming children and young people who have 'harrowing stories' to tell.
Falkirk councillors have criticised the "abhorrent underfunding" provided by the Home Office to help support children seeking asylum.
"But I would like to recognise the work of our staff and various organisations and our communities for welcoming and supporting refugees and asylum seekers, particularly children and young people. Council leader Cecil Meiklejohn also thanked the staff for the work to welcome children and young people who had some "harrowing stories".
Falkirk Council also currently has 90 children from Ukraine in local schools and nurseries but this is expected to be fully funded until December next year.
